Job Description

Talend Architect

Design and implement the Talend architecture, including data integration, ETL components.

Design and implement standard frameworks for Talend development, including templates, workflows, reusable components, and best practices.

Anchor and drive solutions related to Talend component designs and architecture for various topics like High Availability, Fail overs, Fault Tolerance, Performance, Error Handing etc

Analyze existing COBOL code and identify areas for optimization and improvement in the Talend migration.

Able to understand both mainframe (COBOL/DB2/VSAM files) and modern day ETL tools like Talend

Create data maps and transformations to migrate Mainframe/COBOL programs to Talend.

Able to use TDM to map/convert/develop VSAM files as source to load transform to DB2 using Talend

Develop, test, and deploy Talend jobs and workflows to migrate COBOL programs and processes.

Establish deployment and monitoring procedures for Talend jobs and workflows, including scheduling, logging, and alerting.

Establish testing and validation procedures for Talend jobs and workflows, including unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing.

Lead a team of Talend developers at offshore and provide technical guidance and oversight.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the Talend migration meets business requirements and expectations.

Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, and end-users.
