THE WORK
Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering Role:
Support the Moorestown Manufacturing Operations work centers with performance & efficiency reporting, cycle time reduction, ergonomics, Environmental Safety & Health considerations, and other productivity improvements.
Improve product flow, make recommendations with respect to methods and assembly process in a team environment applying Lean and 6 Sigma principles.
Support Manufacturing Engineering evaluations for space requirements, factory layouts, capital equipment, capacity, and related initiatives.
Perform cost evaluations.
Provide Solumina/MES system and database support as required.

You are a analytical and collaborative individual with a strong foundation in engineering principles, proficiency in CAD software, and experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. You possess excellent technical writing, presentation, and project management skills, with the ability to drive productivity improvements, think critically, and work effectively in a team environment to support manufacturing operations and drive business results.
A level 3 employee is mid-career and typically has 3 to 5+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent related experience
Demonstrated project management skills and solving technical problems
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and CAD software
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, flow, 6S, and continuous improvement (Green or Black Belt certification)
Demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills
Experience with Production systems (EPDM, SAP, Solumina, Apriso) and CAD Software
Knowledge of manufacturing processes for aeronautics or defense products
Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
