Walton - Electrical Trainee

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electrical Trainee employee works throughout the facility. This positon supports the goals of the manufacturing departments by providing a diverse array of interrelated responsibilities. The Electrical Trainee will work with the Electrical Team to improve and develop our manufacturing quality and efficiency as well as developing train-in-field start-up and service technical abilities.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

• Electrical install of control panels and related equipment including cables, harnesses, and motors
• Involved in, the layout and assembly of electrical systems and sub-systems and troubleshoots problems that arise on the floor and in electrical lab
• Learn to read and interprets work orders, line diagrams and schematics
• Communicates appropriate issues with Electrical Team immediately
• Ability to work multicultural team environment
• Electrical conduit (EMT, Rigid, liquid tight) includes routing and bending
• Willing to gain knowledge of NEC and UL 508A industrial panel building experience a plus
• Ability to wire lighting & GFI circuits
• Train in electrical safety procedures and plant operations
• Willing to gain knowledge of DDC and VFDs controls system, wiring and system knowledge

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Or equivalent experience

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Interested to read and interpret schematics and wire lists
• Some experience in HVAC service is a plus
• Team player and willing to work in a fast-paced environment
• Confident to ask questions and learn tasks on the job
