Job Details

We are looking for a Sr. POS/retail Functional Analyst. This is a full time/ permanent hire opportunity in Raleigh, North Carolina with our client. You can work 100% remote (anywhere in USA) for this position.

This position will be client facing. In this role as a Sr. POS/Retail Functional Analyst you will be creating a vision for what is to be built and work to be prioritized, represent customers as a decision maker for what is delivered when, translate customers requirements to development stories. Prepare and execute functional workshops and trainings. Verifies customer specific functionality based on the user preferences and acceptance criteria. Liaison between the customer and delivery team pertaining to system customizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands Customer needs and goals with delivery
  • Support RFP/RFI processes
  • Identification and high-level definition of customization opportunities

Customer Requirements

  • Prepare, perform or support Discovery workshops
  • Understand and analyze customer requirements
  • Recommend how to implement requirements based on the capabilities of the company s standard solution
  • Explain alternative approaches that will allow the customer to stay with standard functionality
  • Identify and explain potential risks, guide the customer to a stable long-term solution
  • Identify impact on interfaces and integration
  • Be the interface between the customer, product management and customer Delivery teams
  • Be the primary contact person for all functional questions
  • Document User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Create User Stories based on the customer requirements
  • Abstract and standardize customer requirements
  • Create detailed design of the functional processes as a basis for Delivery
  • Discuss and align user stories with customer and get sign off
  • Creates User workflows that showcase how the user (customer) is using the solution to be delivered
  • Creates Delivery Roadmaps Interfaces
  • Responsible for the integration to other solutions
  • Prepare test data, validate data, check content of interfaces
  • End-to-End oversight and testing

Education Training, Experience & Technical Skills:

  • 10+ years of hands-on POS/Retail Process Experience
  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Software development for retail environments a plus
  • POS / Backoffice
  • ERP / Store processes
