Job overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our company. As a Senior Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing and estimating the costs associated with constructing chip plants, tool interconnection and tool hookup. Your expertise in cost estimation and analysis will be crucial in ensuring accurate cost projections, optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of tool installation, chip plant construction, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate and lead a cross functional team. Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed cost analysis for tool installation and hookup, including material costs, equipment costs, labor costs, and overhead expenses.
• Utilize historical data, industry benchmarks, and market trends to develop accurate cost estimates for semiconductor and industrial plants construction.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and sales teams to gather necessary information and specifications for cost estimation.
• Analyze construction processes and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
• Provide guidance and recommendations on cost reduction strategies and value engineering initiatives.
• Prepare comprehensive cost reports and presentations to present findings and recommendations to management.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in cost estimation methodologies.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as supplier negotiation and alternative sourcing strategies.
• Collaborate with sales team to provide cost estimates for customer proposals and bids.
• Assist in the development and improvement of cost estimation tools, methodologies, and databases.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or master s in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or related preferred).

3-5 years of estimating experience in construction industry, preferably in semiconductor or industrial sector.

Strong knowledge of tool interconnection and hookup.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey cost analysis findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Familiarity with project management principles and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of local codes and regulations related to semiconductor plants.

Fluent in Mandarin is a plus.
