Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Costing Module Lead to oversee the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the Oracle Costing module (part of Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud ERP) for our organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle Costing functionalities and a strong understanding of costing principles in a manufacturing or distribution environment. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with key stakeholders, and ensure seamless integration of costing processes within the broader ERP ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oracle Costing Module Implementation: Lead and manage the full life cycle of Oracle Costing module implementation, including gathering requirements, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.
- Costing Configuration and Optimization: Configure and optimize costing setups in Oracle, including cost types, cost categories, cost elements, and standard costing methods, in alignment with business needs and accounting standards.
- Functional Expertise: Provide expert guidance on Oracle Costing functionality, including inventory valuation, standard costing, cost adjustments, cost rollups, and variance analysis. Ensure costing processes comply with organizational accounting practices and industry standards.
- Business Process Improvement: Collaborate with finance, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to streamline costing-related processes and workflows, ensuring that they are accurate, efficient, and scalable.
- End-User Support & Training: Provide ongoing training, support, and documentation for end-users on the proper usage of the Oracle Costing module. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) to resolve any issues or queries.
- Testing & Validation: Oversee functional testing of Oracle Costing modules during upgrades or new feature rollouts. Ensure all configurations are working as expected and meet business requirements.
- Integration with Other Modules: Ensure smooth integration of the Oracle Costing module with other Oracle modules (e.g., Inventory, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, etc.) and third-party systems to enable end-to-end costing processes.
- Cost Reporting & Analytics: Support financial reporting by ensuring accurate costing data flows into reporting modules and dashboards. Provide analysis and insights on cost variances, inventory valuations, and other key metrics.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements, system improvements, and automation within the Oracle Costing module and across the broader ERP landscape.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams during projects involving the Oracle Costing module, ensuring timely completion, adherence to best practices, and alignment with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Expert) is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud ERP.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience specifically with the Oracle Costing module (Oracle Cost Management, Oracle Cloud Financials, or similar modules).
- Proven experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting the Oracle Costing module in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of costing principles, inventory management, and financial accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud ERP, particularly in costing, inventory, and manufacturing modules.
- Experience with Oracle Applications Development (SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Workflow) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Oracle Cost Management certification or other relevant Oracle ERP certifications.
- PMP or Agile certification is a plus.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with multi-currency, multi-country, or global ERP implementations.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for cost accounting in manufacturing or distribution.
- Familiarity with advanced reporting tools like Oracle BI or Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
- Strong project management and leadership skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Working Conditions:
