Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled RF Technician to join our team, focusing on supporting emergency responders. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting RF communication systems that are critical for public safety operations. Your expertise will ensure that emergency responders have reliable and effective communication tools to perform their duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Maintenance: Install, program, and maintain RF communication systems for emergency responders.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair RF issues to ensure optimal system performance.
  • System Upgrades: Design and implement upgrades to enhance communication systems.
  • Field Support: Provide on-site support to emergency responders, ensuring their communication systems are fully operational.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the team, service managers, and emergency response units to address communication needs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 technical support.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years experience in diagnosing, repairing, and installing RF communication systems.
  • Strong understanding of RF theory and principles.
  • Experience with testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, watt meters, and multi-meters.
  • Valid driver s license.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Preferred: Two-year degree in Electronics, IT, or a related field; experience with public safety communication systems; CET certification.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with DAS systems, LMR systems, and two-way radios.
  • Military or public service experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.

Work Environment: Monday-Friday, with start times typically from 7am-3pm.
