ABOUT THE POSITION
The Oracle Cloud Solution Architect, reporting to the Sr Director of Global ERP, is a key member of the corporate IT team and serves as the principal technical expert for the Oracle Cloud application. As an Oracle Cloud Subject Matter Expert, this person will drive innovative practices in delivery, leveraging deep technical expertise and business acumen to engage directly with business leadership in a trusted advisor role. This includes gathering requirements, analyzing, designing, and implementing best practice business changes. This person will also frequently guide Business Analysts, Global Process Owners, and Value Stream Owners in approaching solutions. Responsibilities include defining processes, supporting migration from legacy systems to Oracle Fusion Cloud, developing process maps, identifying technical gaps, and ensuring the system design aligns with business requirements across all value streams.

Deliverables & Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of Integration Architecture Blueprint & Design solutions that meet the business requirements of Astec.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Integration Architecture to the project team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of technology solutions.
  • Establishes self as a trusted adviser and thought leader to the business teams.
  • Translate technical complexities for ease of understanding by business units and project stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Integration Architecture and bring emerging ideas to life to shape Astec strategies.
  • Bring Oracle best practice experience to solutions.
  • Work with business stakeholders to learn business processes and gather business requirements.
  • Assist business stakeholders with testing of system changes and analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to synthesize high-level concepts surrounding new work requests into a set of business requirements.
  • This person will help configure the Oracle Cloud product to support initial implementation and subsequent process optimization efforts.
  • Understand integration points with other systems that interface with the application, evaluate and minimize ripple effects.
  • Design complex system solutions and ensure those solutions integrate/operate well into the overall Oracle Solution.
  • Provide Tier 2 level support to end users including managing issue resolution and performing root cause analysis.
  • Create project and technology roadmaps and define migration plans to mitigate gaps between the current and future state.

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Integration Architecture Blueprint & Design Solutions.
  • Strong educational background in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful technology solutions.
  • Expertise in Integration Architecture Blueprint & Design Solutions.
  • Expertise as implementer of Oracle s SAAS/Cloud Applications, specifically within:
    • ERP Financials General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable and Receivable, iExpense
    • Supply Chain Execution - Work Definitions, Work Execution, Quality Management, Inventory Management, Cost Accounting, Receipt Accounting, Supply Orchestration
    • Product Information Management - Manage Items and related attribution, Manage Item Structures (BOM) Configurator Models, Engineer to Order BOM, Manage Data Governance (New Item Requests, Change Orders, and Custom Product Data Workflows)
    • Mobile Supply Chain Management Must have experience implementing and integrating 3d party mobile software solutions that integrate and leverage RF Device and bar code scanning with Oracle Cloud for handling transactions within the functional areas of Inventory, Procurement, Manufacturing, Order Management, Quality and Maintenance, preferable with RFSMART.
    • Integrations with systems like Oracle CPQ, Field Service and Oracle Transportation Management
  • Strong understanding of Integration Architecture.
Must have experience in Oracle Cloud ERP implementation.
  • Experience with emerging Integration Architecture technologies.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (including Agile, Waterfall, LEAN, etc).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • At least 8 years of experience with process mapping, group facilitation, data gathering and analysis, and phases of project life cycle (requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, training, and measuring effectiveness).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Including Intermediate in Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum 2+ years large Oracle Cloud ERP implementations.
  • Proven project delivery through full life cycle from requirements through deployment/support.
  • Experience at a publicly traded company and SOX compliance is required.
  • Must be highly self-motivated.
  • Must be able to solve problems at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals is required.
