Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Take responsibility for the facility-level electrical design and engineering of medium- and low-voltage systems, including power distribution, emergency generators, UPS systems, lighting, controls, fire alarm systems, and motor controls.
  • Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers and designers.
  • Oversee project scope and budget from initial concept through to successful operation.
  • Conduct infrastructure assessments, utility master planning, field surveys, and perform code and energy evaluations for facilities.
  • Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines, architects, client representatives, facility operations personnel, and contractors.
  • Perform electrical system calculations such as load analysis, short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies using computer software.
  • Develop equipment specifications in alignment with company standards and tailored to client and vendor requirements.
  • Review equipment submittals and shop drawings, respond to contractor RFIs, and create punch lists based on field observations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical design and engineering, with a focus on building systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License with California Registration.
  • Proficiency in SKM Power*Tools software, MS Office, and Adobe Professional.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Preferred experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, mission-critical, or lab design industries. Experience in healthcare, consumer products, industrial, higher education, or other relevant industries will also be considered.
  • Capability to support business development by fostering client relationships and writing proposals.
  • Ability to lead in-house training seminars.
