Work Location: Work location is anywhere in US except for occasional onsite visits to customer (in Anaheim California). 90% Remote. Occasionally on-site in Anaheim, CA (expenses paid)

Duration: 12 months+ (potential for extension)

DETAILS

Client seeks an experienced Senior Technical Consultant with deep expertise in SAP PP preferably within the automotive industry to lead and deliver complex SAP ECC 6.0 projects, including greenfield, brownfield, and carve-out initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong SAP MM experience, multiple end-to-end ECC 6.0 implementations, and hands-on configuration capabilities. This hybrid business/technical role requires excellent client-facing communication skills, proven success in production planning, materials management, and MES integration, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with business stakeholders.

TOP THREE SKILLS

(8+ years SAP):

• SAP-PP Consulting (technical / functional), preferably in the Auto Industry
• SAP-MM Experience
• Multiple end-to-end implementations in ECC 6.0

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SAP-PP (Production Planning)

• Deep expertise in SAP-PP consulting, preferably within the automotive industry
• Strong understanding of PP business processes and integration points (e.g., PP to MES)
• Hands-on configuration experience across SAP PP areas including:
• Master Data
• Demand Management
• MRP
• Production Planning & Execution
• Engineering Change Management
• Contract Manufacturing
• SAP functional solution design and delivery, with multiple end-to-end ECC 6.0 implementations

SAP-MM (Materials Management)

• Strong understanding of procurement and inventory management business processes
• Experience in configuration and process integration within SAP MM

Customization & Integration

• Experienced with RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)
• Integration with third-party systems and data migration (e.g., for carve-out scenarios)
• Ability to work closely with technical teams to support custom solutions

Testing & Documentation

• Skilled in defining testing strategies, including SIT and integration testing
• Strong documentation skills:
• Functional requirements
• Configuration rationale
• Functional specs
• Test plans
• Support documentation for business processes and configuration
