SUMMARY STATEMENT

The IT Program Management Office (PMO) ensures the successful execution and management of IT projects and programs across business units and IT. The PMO ensures projects stay on schedule, within budget, and deliver expected results.

This senior-level role is responsible for managing large, complex IT projects and programs using industry-standard methodologies. The position involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing vendor engagements, and overseeing project execution and governance. It also includes financial reporting and maintaining alignment with business strategies. Experience with ERP implementations and integrations is essential for this role.


ORGANIZATION

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports but may mentor others within the PMO.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Management (35%)

  • Lead high-priority IT projects and programs, including ERP implementations.

  • Coordinate vendor and internal team dependencies.

  • Develop project/program plans, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Manage complex internal and external interdependencies.

Project Management (25%)

  • Control budgets, scope, timelines, and quality.

  • Identify and address risks, lead mitigation planning.

  • Ensure adherence to phase gate controls and change management.

Portfolio Reporting (25%)

  • Maintain project/program/portfolio reporting and communications.

  • Provide updates on financials and project status.

  • Support steering committee meetings and project team coordination.

IT Planning & PMO Governance (15%)

  • Utilize PMO methodologies and tools to enhance project execution.

  • Improve processes, templates, and tools for PMO maturity.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree and/or 10+ years in project/program management.

  • PMP or CSM certification preferred.

  • Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and SDLC.

  • Proven success in managing complex, multi-system projects.

  • Experience with ERP system implementations and integrations.

  • Experience working with vendors and contract resources.

Skills

  • Strong leadership in traditional and Agile environments.

  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management.

  • Financial acumen in IT project budgeting.

  • Process improvement and change management expertise.

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Jira, and project management tools.
