UAV Remote Sensing Project Manager

What You Will Be Doing:

In this position, you will be responsible for the overall planning, development and completion of UAV projects in a profitable manner. You will also manage technical and professional staff and supervises development, implementation and maintenance of UAV fleet and pilot logistics, operational aspects of UAV data acquisitions and processing assignments.

• Responsible for the management planning, scheduling and performance of multiple UAV projects and personnel.
• Identifies the project scope and participates in the contract negotiation.
• Develops and monitors project budgets and implements corrective action if appropriate.
• Performs and assists with staff to develop database and schema criteria for the firm s UAV services.
• Manages UAV Flight requests and pilot assignments.
• Manages and supports operational aspects of UAV data acquisitions and processing assignments including Mapping, Photography, Video, LiDAR, QA/QC of Deliverables
• Manages UAV Flight and Processing Software and Partner Relationships with SkySkopes, DroneDeploy, Pix4D and others as needed.
• Performs business development activities (i.e. RFP s, presentations, preparation of proposals).
• Plans and organizes project assignments and is responsible for the work of other UAV technicians and specialists.
• Manages and analyzes data from remote sensing platforms to obtain meaningful information.
• Assists with the development and design of remote sensing applications specific to project goals

What We Are Looking For:

• B.S. Degree in Geography, Computer Science or GIS or equivalent from an accredited college. Master s degree preferred.
• Eight (8) years or more of related GIS and/or UAV experience preferred
• Remote Pilots Certification
• Remote Sensing Certification preferred
• Effective interpersonal written & verbal communication skills
• Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Skilled knowledge and skills in ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server and application related extensions.
• Developing knowledge of data management within Relational Database Management Systems.
• Developing knowledge of data analytics, advanced data visualization techniques and Big Data.
• Working knowledge of web-based GIS services and mapping.
• Possess valid driver s license.
