Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Level 1 Monitoring Center Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a monitoring center environment, a fundamental understanding of technology, and experience with cloud environments such as Azure and AWS. This role is responsible for ensuring the continuous monitoring of critical systems across on-premises and cloud infrastructures and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to maintain optimal system performance. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and respond to system alerts and notifications from various platforms, including cloud environments (Azure, AWS), network, applications, servers, and databases. Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic technical issues related to system performance, connectivity, and cloud resources. Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate technical team or senior analyst. Ensure accurate documentation of incidents, including steps taken, resolutions, and any follow-up actions required. Perform routine checks and reports on system health and performance, focusing on both on-premises and cloud-based systems. Provide first-level support for clients and end-users, troubleshooting issues through phone, email, or ticketing systems. Assist in maintaining the integrity and availability of critical systems by responding to alerts and performing preventive tasks, including those within cloud platforms like Azure and AWS. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve incident response times and overall operational efficiency. Maintain knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies in monitoring, especially in cloud environments like Azure and AWS, to ensure continual improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience in a technical support, IT monitoring, or system operations role. Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) and IT infrastructure (servers, databases, cloud services such as Azure and AWS). Familiarity with cloud environments like Azure and AWS, including basic monitoring tasks such as resource utilization, virtual machines, storage, and services within these platforms. Experience with monitoring tools and systems used to track and report system health and performance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy. A strong customer service orientation with a focus on resolving technical issues efficiently. Desired Skills Basic understanding of monitoring and observability principles and best practices. Experience with common monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Grafana, OpsRamp, BigPanda, Elastic, App Dynamicsetc.). Familiarity with cloud-based monitoring tools and services in Azure and AWS (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor). IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or similar certifications are a plus.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
