Description
We are providing an opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Delray Beach, Florida. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our technological systems and networks, ensuring efficient operations and service delivery. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate activities around desktop and notebook computers and their network connections, while also maintaining and supporting other technology equipment and applications like data backup, file and application servers, VMWare hosts, and virtual servers.
Design, setup, and install VPNs, switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless networks for various uses.
Collaborate with IT staff in designing, laying out, and installing hardware and software for new networks and modifications to existing networks.
Follow established procedures to resolve software problems and apply corrective service to upgrade systems.
Prepare and ensure the accuracy of documentation such as procedures, troubleshooting guides, and manuals.
Run diagnostics, monitor systems and networks, and anticipate possible hardware problems and repairs.
Participate in resolving complex network problems and seek IT assistance when necessary.
Evaluate software, test new software, upgrade equipment, and provide training to users.
Maintain Configuration Management of all infrastructure equipment, including servers, storage, switches, connections, routers, firewalls.
Install communications equipment and associated software, and maintain implementation of all Telecommunication needs.
Ensure the security of the network infrastructure, including user profiles, servers, PCs and laptops, switches, cables, and other connected peripherals.
Manage Mobile Device Management and Wireless Access, and be responsible for Virtual Desktop and Server Infrastructure.
Ensure Data backup and disaster recovery of all servers, and monitor and maintain the network and network communications.
Remain current on technology and training pertaining to the position, and participate in the team's on-call support rotation.
Mentor and cross-train team members on existing and new technologies.
Requirements
Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a related role
Proficient in using VMware and Hyper-V for virtualization tasks
Strong understanding of the Cisco Unified Computing System and other Cisco Technologies
Experience with Veeam Backup for data management and disaster recovery
Familiarity with Fortinet Firewalls for network security
Proficiency in using Azure Active Directory and Active Directory for identity and access management
Knowledge of NetApp for data storage solutions
Experience in Disaster Recovery planning and execution
Familiarity with O 365 for business productivity tools
Proficient in Networking principles and protocols
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred
