Job Details

Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Data Visualization Developer responsible for building a variety of visually appealing, intuitive dashboards that deliver data and insights, which help the business make data driven decisions and help track strategies, perform impact studies, and answer targeted business questions as they arise across multiple, dynamic business units. Specific duties include: participate in key Enterprise Data Initiative team projects, supporting underlying data capture and utilization opportunities; identify data most valuable to the organization and evaluate this data and alignment with the corporate data model; establish working relationships with key technical leads throughout the organization and ensure ongoing alignment with their activities and the overall organization's strategic direction; assist in the evolution of the physical data designs for new and ongoing projects, ensuring consistency and standardization across multiple projects; research data anomalies and develop recommendations to solve unique organizational and enterprise data problems; aggregate, consolidate and develop technical documentation surrounding the organization's Information Architecture; study, analyze and understand business requirements in context to business Intelligence; design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights; utilize Power BI to build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports; design and develop Embedded Reports, Paginated Reports and Power Apps; transform business requirements into technical publications; build multi-dimensional data models. Option to work remotely.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Senior Software Developer, Senior Software Engineer, Senior Developer Technical Lead, Programmer Analyst, Associate Projects, or similar position building visually appealing and intuitive dashboards that deliver data and insights. Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: developing Power BI dashboards; and developing reports based on the Business requirements. Specific experience must also include: maintaining, enhancing, refining, and supporting existing BI analytic solutions; automating and providing self-service; developing Power BI dashboards on top of SQL and Azure; developing existing Java SDK functionalities using Power BI; preparing data migration Strategy document and Project Plan; developing Web Intelligence reports; and assisting with any defects and performance issues in relation to Power BI.
