Job Title: eCommerce Content Operations Specialist

Location: New York, NY

Onsite/Remote/Hybrid: Two to Three days onsite will be ideal, but remote is acceptable as well

Duration: 12 Months+

Open to both W2 and C2C (H1B)

Our DIRECT Client is seeking a detail-oriented eCommerce Content Operations Specialist to join our team and help optimize their online presence on major platforms like Walmart.com and Amazon.com.

Must be an Operations person (not a driver of sales). Must have experience with Amazon A9 Algo.

Job Summary:

The eCommerce Content Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing the process of getting product content published and maintained on major eCommerce retailers like Walmart.com and Amazon.com. This role requires a strong understanding of eCommerce best practices, platform requirements, and content management systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that all product listings are accurate, compelling, and aligned with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Content Management:Oversee the end-to-end process of product content creation, optimization, and publication on eCommerce platforms. Note that we already have a big creative team on site for the customer and the content manager does not need to have the creative aspects, albeit it will be a good to have.

- Product Listings: Create, edit, and manage product listings, ensuring all content meets platform specifications and guidelines.

- SEO Optimization:Implement SEO best practices to enhance product visibility and ranking on eCommerce platforms.

- Quality Assurance: Perform regular audits of product listings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance on eComm platforms.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and sales teams to gather necessary information and assets for content creation.

- Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. (Client has an Analytics team in place, so this is not a mandatory skill)

- Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, platform updates, and eCommerce best practices to continuously improve content strategies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, Communications, or a related field will be ideal.

- 5+ years of experience in eCommerce content management

- Experience working with major retailers from a digital standpoint or through an Agency would be ideal

- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, including their content requirements and algorithms.

- Proficient in SEO best practices and online marketing strategies

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.

- Proficient in using content management systems and analytics tools.

- Must have experience with Amazon A9 Algorithm
