Description
The Project Design and Engagement Consultant, will be mainly in charge of helping AFCIA s PMU to advance resource mobilization efforts for an AFCIA Project stage II, supporting the preparation of AFCIA II Project Proposals, and prepare specific pitches to fundraise with specific donors and private sector actors which are willing to invest in the Adaptation Innovation Marketplace (AIM) multistakeholder platform. S/he will also support pipeline development efforts linking potential AFCIA grantees with wider programming efforts advanced by UNDP in the different regional hubs.
The consultant will report to the AFCIA Project Manager, under the guidance of the Regional Technical Specialist -Climate Finance and Investment. S/he will work closely with other staff in the UNDP Regional Hubs, HQ staff and counterparts as appropriate (grantees, responsible parties, and partners).It is also expected the consultant will need to work closely with the Asia and Pacific Climate Change Adaptation team in the Regional Hub to enhance the integration between the AFCIA program and the upcoming Climate Change Adaptation projects and programs in the region.
Period of assignment/services: 15 March 2025 through 31 January 2026, estimated level of effort required is 219 working days with possibility of extension dependent on demand for services and performance
