Exchange Messaging Engineer
Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL or Naperville, IL
6 month contract perm potential
$50-60/hr based on experience W2 only - no C2C or third party please
Technical Skills:
Microsoft Exchange: Expertise in managing, monitoring, and configuring Microsoft Exchange Server environments.
Exchange Online: Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Exchange Online and Office 365 environments.
Proofpoint: Experience with Proofpoint email security solutions.
Messaging Security: Experience with messaging security protocols such as SPF/DMARC/DKIM.
PowerShell Scripting: Ability to automate tasks and manage systems using PowerShell scripts.
Active Directory: Strong knowledge of Active Directory for user and group management.
DNS/DHCP: Understanding of DNS and DHCP for network configuration and troubleshooting.
Network Infrastructure: Familiarity with network protocols and infrastructure.
Security: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect messaging systems.
Troubleshooting: Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex messaging issues.
Migration Management: Experience in managing migrations from legacy systems to newer Exchange versions or cloud-based solutions.
Soft Skills: Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
Documentation: Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Collaboration: Effective collaboration with other functional and technical teams.
Project Management: Skills in planning and executing projects related to messaging systems.
Training: Ability to provide training and knowledge sharing to other team members.
Autonomy: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative to identify and resolve issues, and manage tasks efficiently.
Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related Field. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Extensive experience in messaging systems, and hybrid Exchange environments. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and knowledge of SMTP, DNS, DHCP, and network infrastructure. Relevant certifications such as MCSE/Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert are preferred
The compensation range for this position is $50 to $60/hr W2
(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
