D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Senior Analyst. The right candidate will research, recommend, implement, and oversee solutions on various corporate strategies and operational initiatives that result in heightened corporate efficiency and/or profitability. Understand the relationship between business and information system architecture to identify risks and opportunities across the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Identify opportunities to improve company efficiency
  • Strategize with other key stakeholders on how to best align information systems with company objectives
  • Participate in data-driven strategy planning with business partners to establish and adjust goals as necessary
  • Perform independent research and data mining in Microsoft SQL Server, and recommend/implement solutions on issues, projects, and ideas that expand efficiency/capacity
  • Prepare necessary reporting in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerBI to summarize and monitor performance versus goals
  • Monitor relevant activities and functions to ensure proper implementation and/or comprehensive research in connection with the various initiatives
  • Review with executive management as needed on new recommendations, direction and/or concurrence

  • Communicate with other departments, customers, vendors, or lenders as necessary to ensure workflow and objectives are completed as planned
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to travel overnight


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • Four to seven years related experience and/or training
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Excel is required
  • Knowledge of databases, data processes, system architectures, and data security
  • Skills in designing, reporting, and documenting implementations and solutions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Understand business practices
  • Analytical mindset
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Superb interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
  • The noise level is generally moderate


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a related industry (homebuilding, mortgage and title) is a plus
