Job Details

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Network Administrator for a new customer on a strategic High-Performance Computing (HPC) program. The Senior Network Administrator will need to be a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to work within a team to mature the HPC capabilities of our customer.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provides Network support that requires system level design, architecture or enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls (all three supported locations).

Basic qualifications:
  • Candidates shall have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Network Engineering and eight (8) years of demonstrable experience in network (LAN/WAN) configuration, monitoring, security, and protection. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, the individual shall have six (6) years of full time CS experience and at least six (6) years of demonstrable experience in network (LAN/WAN) configuration, monitoring, security, and protection.
  • Have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks. With the following skills: Installation, configuration, and support of:
  • Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, InfiniBand, Juniper, Fiber Channel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
  • Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols.
  • Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols
  • Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls.
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite
  • Able to support on-call requirements.
  • Able to work in live call environment and utilize remedy and/or other ticketing system to track tasking.
  • Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers
  • IAT Level II Certification Required.
  • Must possess a TS/SCI clearance with FS polygraph
