Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Glastonbury, CT for first two days, remote after. Duration: 6 month Contract extensions possible Work Week: 40 Hours

Business Analyst II

Project Description

Our client is seeking a mid-level Business Analyst II with solid experience in Medicaid Claims and gathering IT Business Requirements. This is a multi agency initiative that will produce an Implementation Plan in support of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023.

Scope of Services

The scope of services required for the Business Analyst includes:

Analyze, strategize, design, document, and provide recommendations to enhance business processes in support of client's technological goals
Act as a liaison between agencies, project managers, and technical personnel to define, track, and communicate business requirements and their expected impact by building basic conceptual data and process models
Create, execute, and analyze basic test scenarios to verify that requirements are built into system design
Participate in technical reviews and inspections to ensure that the "intent of change" is carried out throughout each project phase
Meeting coordination including agenda development and preparing meeting minutes
Assisting in the development of business processes and creating flowcharts
Creating design documentation and obtaining user validation of requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

The minimum skills and experience levels required for a candidate to be considered for this position include:
Advanced Medicaid Claims domain knowledge
A minimum of 5 years experience translating technical goals and requirements into real action for clients
A minimum of 5 years experience conducting testing and documenting defects.
Knowledge of fundamental computer programming concepts such as configuration, development, and batch processing
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other software for conducting quantitative analysis including SDLC
Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills
Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients and technical personnel
An influencer and team player who motivates others to action and communicates key technical ideas in a digestible way
Proven ability to work with staff of varying skill levels and experience (executive, business stakeholders, technical, non-technical). This includes facilitating meetings that dig into the technical detail as well as leading meetings with high- level technical and non-technical staff while ensuring the collection of accurate documentation
Flexibility to meet the challenges of an ever-changing environment
IT business requirement gathering and organization
Confident presentation skills
Working knowledge of DevOps for management of tasks, etc., is a plus.
Timetable

The services of this individual will be required 40 hours per week for 6 months with possible renewal.

IT consultants are required to attend their first two (2) days in-person in Glastonbury CT. Thereafter, consultants are currently allowed to work 100% remotely with the Project Manager s approval.
