Job Description Summary
The Field Engineer II will perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on our life-changing medical equipment for one or more modalities within a hospital or healthcare system.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Diagnose equipment problems and recommend necessary repairs/services
Provide accurate and timely feedback to customers and GE personnel
Ensure excellent communication between the customer, sales, marketing and manufacturing departments
Ensure all field engineering activities are carried out in compliance with regulatory and quality systems
Establish effective working relationships with customers and GE personnel
Contribute to training sessions for new employees
Develop and maintain an adequate level of knowledge regarding GE products, software, test equipment, service tools, etc., so as to be able to effectively support the customer base
Undertake continuous improvement projects which lead to improved customer satisfaction and business profitability
Demonstrates ownership by being accountable for results and takes initiative to solve problems.
Qualifications:
Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, military education in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering/ or High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment.
2+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment
Desirable: Experience in CT field service
Ability to commit to the safety and quality standards set by GE
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
Excellent analytical skills
Self-motivated to learn new tasks quickly
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
Availability to work flexible hours and travel to various sites
Must have own transportation means to get to different locations for customer service support.
