Job Details
Systems Administrators install, maintain, and upgrade internal computer hardware and software systems including designing, developing, and implementing IT services. Systems Administrators propose and implement enhancements that improve the reliability, security, and performance of the system, and monitor usage and performance.
The Client Hardware Administration team is responsible for analyzing and implementing solutions for the Client Hardware Group. This position is focused on patching all hardware devices within our Enterprise. The Systems Administrator must also provide detailed recommendations for management, strategic planning and implementation, and consulting with other departments to understand technical and business needs to support and analyze recommended changes. In doing so, the Client Hardware Administrator will help ensure maximum productivity and minimize downtime to our internal customers and provide the highest level of service and support to all hardware environments.

Job Duties/Essential Functions
Packages and deploys third party application versions, security patches and vulnerability remediations.
Deploys patches to multiple hardware solutions through central management tools. (Airwatch, DCE, HP Webjet, etc.)
Manage and maintain patching compliance reports for Management.
Manages the packaging process from initial request, collecting application requirements, creating silent install packages, to testing and deploying applications and/or hardware solutions.
Drives governance through designing, developing, implementing, supporting, and documenting policies, standards, guidelines, solutions, configurations, and procedures.
Identifies opportunities for streamlining, increasing effectiveness through continuous process improvement.
Ensures all system elements work together through design reviews, providing constructive feedback to teams, and coaching team members on new technologies and project deliverables.
Implements practices, processes, and procedures consistent with Costco's information security policy and IT standards
Analyzes complex client system configuration issues and provides solutions.
Manages and maintains Client Group Policy.
Edits and customizes scripts that are used for troubleshooting hardware issues.
Troubleshoots device configuration issues with hardware solutions and develops solutions for configuration issues.
Tests hardware solutions, operating systems and firmware before production deployment.
Creates and updates documentation of troubleshooting and issue resolution along with strategic planning, scheduling, and tracking of hardware distributions.
Documents processes and project details as well as provides second level support documentation.
Researches, recommends and develops innovative, automated approaches for system admin tasks.
Vendor relationship management, working closely on product roadmap, hardware availability, contracts and renewals.
Provides status reports and project schedules.
Understands and adheres to Costco's project methodology and framework.
Understands and adheres to Costco's Mission Statement and Code of Ethics.
Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location.

2 years' experience in two or more of the following areas:
Point-of-Sale; registers, scanners, payment devices
PC/Servers/clients; hardware, Windows operating systems and/or Mac OS
Networking; wireless/wired network infrastructure, Radio Frequency devices,
Printing Platforms; laser, pallet tag, wired, wireless
Mobile Devices: Apple tablets, Zebra tablets and
Proven experience analyzing and designing solutions for enterprise desktop strategies.
Proven experience analyzing and designing hardware solutions for enterprise hardware strategies.
Advanced knowledge of Zebra hardware devices.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft client operating systems.
Troubleshooting knowledge of Apple devices within an enterprise environment.
Ability to effectively perform testing (unit, system and integration testing) of applications.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills and proven ability to meet tight deadlines as well as coordinate, prioritize, and communicate project statuses.
Self-motivated and able to work independently and with team members with little supervision.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business including, work evenings, weekends, holidays, and 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotational basis.
