The team is looking for a Senior Business Data Analyst Intern who is passionate about solving complex customer needs through data, tying together multiple storylines and partner with operations, credit strategy and data scientists to deliver insights. Leaning on your skills of analytics and modeling to assess portfolio risk trends, researching both internal and external data points to help empower more customers to borrow and grow responsibly.

Responsibilities

As a Credit Strategy Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team's mission to expand financial access for SMBs. You will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of credit risk management, including: Data Analysis and Modeling: Assist in analyzing customer data, developing andrefining credit risk models, and evaluating portfolio performance. Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Research industry trends, competitive landscape and customer needs to identify opportunities for product innovation and growth. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Assist in identifying and assessing potential risks associated with new products or customer segments. Help develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure portfolio health. Reporting and Communication: Prepare presentations and reports summarizing key findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization. Mine customer touchpoint data using NLP/LLM techniques to extract insights and key customer feedback trends. Proactively identify ways to improve existing processes and suggest opportunities that address key issues while providing an awesome and delightful customer experience. Use SQL, Python, Tableau and spreadsheets to quickly analyze, manipulate and visualize small to large datasets to guide credit risk policy discussions.

Qualifications

Working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Quantitative Field or commensurateexperience. Master's degree preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for financial technology and empowering small businesses. Advanced SQL, Python and relational database coding skills to analyze and profile customer behavior. Experience with statistical analysis in support of justifying policy recommendations is preferred. Good working experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Excel, Python, Tableau, QlikView, etc.). Outstanding communication skills with the ability to deftly negotiate, prioritize across technical and non-technical teams, influence decision makers and build consensus with teams. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accountability, organization and empathy.
