<>Job Summary</>
We are seeking a detail-oriented PLM Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will create and manage technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all documentation is accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with industry standards.
<>Key Responsibilities</>
Documentation Development:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, process flows, configuration guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides for PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA).
- Draft comprehensive training materials, quick reference guides, and e-learning modules for end-users and administrators.
Collaboration and Research:
- Collaborate with PLM developers, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather technical information and understand workflows.
- Research PLM processes, data structures, and system configurations to ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Content Organization and Management:
- Maintain an organized document repository with proper version control.
- Ensure documentation is accessible, easy to navigate, and adheres to corporate standards.
Testing and Validation:
- Test PLM workflows and tools to validate the accuracy of documentation.
- Identify gaps in existing documentation and address them proactively.
Process Improvement:
- Recommend and implement improvements to documentation processes and templates.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in PLM tools and technical writing practices.
<>Required Skills and Qualifications</>
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the PLM or software domains.
- Hands-on experience with PLM tools like Teamcenter, Windchill, or ENOVIA is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in technical writing tools such as MS Word, MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or Confluence.
- Familiarity with diagramming tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Snagit.
- Basic understanding of PLM concepts such as BOM management, CAD integration, and change management processes.
Soft Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
<>Preferred Qualifications</>
- Certification in PLM tools or technical writing (e.g., Certified Technical Communicator, Teamcenter Certification).
- Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages for process automation or data extraction.
- Experience in creating video tutorials or e-learning modules.
