PMO Analyst (Contract Position - 8 Weeks)


What You Will Do:


  • Support team assessment activities, including gathering and analyzing data on current skills and competencies, identifying gaps, and compiling recommendations for training and certification programs.

  • Assist in defining roles, responsibilities, and titling for VMO, Project Management, and

  • Product Management functions, supporting the creation of career path frameworks.

  • Collaborate with senior team members to design and document an optimized team structure, including organization charts, RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrices, and dependencies.

  • Help develop a change management plan, including creating communications materials, coordinating training initiatives, and supporting change adoption metrics.

  • Contribute to the development of a roll-out plan, including documenting action steps, timelines, and dependencies for transitioning to the new VMO structure.

  • Track and report on progress against project milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs) using established tools and templates.

  • Maintain and update documentation related to PMO policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Support the creation and maintenance of project and program schedules, ensuring quality and consistency in reporting.

Required Skills:


  • 5-8 years of experience in a PMO, project management, or business analyst role.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in team assessments, organizational design, or change management. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools, with experience supporting master schedules or integrated plans.

  • Familiarity with RACI matrices, KPI tracking, and reporting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and present documentation and reports for various audiences.

  • Experience working in a PMO or supporting PMO-related initiatives.

  • PMP certification or relevant coursework preferred.

  • Roles & titling - define roles, responsibilities & titling for VMO, Project Management and Product Management; create career pathing

  • Team structure - develop team org design, hierarchy, RACI and dependencies across VMO leadership, Project and Product Management

  • Change management - develop change management plan, change measurement, and enablers (comm's, training, networks)

  • Roll-out plan- define sequenced roll-out plan and action steps to move to the new VMO organization structure and responsibilities
