Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Systems Engineering co-op to join our Systems of Systems System Engineering team working on the Land Command Support System (LCSS). LCSS provides the Canadian Armed Forces with the highly integrated command and control communications system they need. A highly integrated tactical system composed of communication, networking and information management sub-systems, LCSS is part of every Canadian Army vehicle, weapon platform and headquarters; comprising hardware, firmware and software..
As a Systems Engineering co-op on the LCSS team, you can expect to:
- Perform development of system architecture and requirements;
- Support Metrics development and presentation;
- Participate in systems and software design, use cases, and trade studies;
- Execute written test plans and test procedures;
- Identify system defects, resolve issues and verify solutions have been correctly implemented;
- Participate in an Agile team;
- Document the analysis, design and test in accordance with development standards.
Essential
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, or an applicable scientific discipline.
Assets
- Experience with/in the following:
- Modelling diagrams and modelling software applications;
- Technical document writing;
- Semantic or MediaWiki development.
It would be excellent if the candidate had a combination of the following qualities, but we will work with them to grow in these areas:
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision and in a collaborative team environment.
- Enthusiastic contributor, willing to learn new skills and take on ownership of work.

Additional Information
Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
