Job Details

We are seeking a motivated and talented entry-level DevOps with a solid foundation with server systems installation and administration of Windows and Linux. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment and highlight ability in systems management. The successful candidate must be able to show their capabilities through relevant projects and assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related job functions
  • Provide support and troubleshooting aid to end-users, addressing technical issues
  • Ability to quickly learn innovative technology and adjust to work requirements
  • Build, deploy, and manage diverse operating and software systems including Windows Server, Linux Server, BIND, ISC KEA, DHCP, IIS, Apache, and Enterprise monitoring system (e.g., SolarWinds and Obserium), ensuring smooth integration and operation
  • Monitoring of systems taking corrective action when needed
  • Creation and update of technical documentation as needed
  • Other related duties as applies

Qualifications

  • Knowledge in managing Windows and Linux server environments
  • Knowledge of backend database systems, including PostgreSQL , MS SQL
  • Experienced in system server scripting (e.g., Power Shell, Bash, Pearl)
  • Experienced in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, etc.)
  • Experienced in Linux system administration (command line, system services, package management)
  • Experienced with Dell and HP server hardware management
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Produce documentation to enhance current procedures
  • Learn quickly and adapt to innovative technologies
  • Ability to adjust priority direction as needed
  • Ability to work as a team member and as individual with minimal direction
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
