Through research programs funded by science and technology R&D organizations within the U.S. Department of Defense, the research and development team in FAST Labs collaborate across the enterprise. On this team, you'll have the opportunity to create and develop advanced technology capabilities in the areas of advanced electronics, autonomy, cyber, electronic warfare, and sensors and processing.

About the Role:
FASTLABs Engineering is seeking a Systems Engineer to join an existing team and lead the platform integration of a novel multi-function RF system. As a member of this team, you will collaborate with scientists, fellow engineers, and industry partners to realize innovative solutions for complex and challenging national security problems. Your focus as a team member includes integration, testing, and debugging of systems employing EW/RF convergence effects.

The ideal candidate will have experience:
  • Lead integration and test activities, including leading teams, supporting field tests, integrating hardware/software on platforms at remote sites, and managing customer interactions.
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams to integrate, debug performance issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Develop test plans and associated infrastructure to ensure test strategies meet customer expectations.
  • Clearly communicate ideas, concerns, and solutions to the team, industry partners, customers, and FASTLABS management.
  • Ensure an appropriate level of rigor is applied to achieve systems that meet customer needs.
  • Apply critical thinking and analytical skills across multiple domains, working collaboratively to solve problems in innovative ways.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience with an emphasis on hardware integration and testing.
  • Demonstrated success in leading small teams in RF integration and test efforts.
  • Manage the schedule and day-to-day tasking of a small interdisciplinary team.
  • Experience in RF test methods, systems, and equipment.
  • Ability to travel to and work at remote sites in support of test events, meetings, and training activities as required.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Hold an Active TS clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python and/or MATLAB for data parsing and visualization.
  • Experience with Linux and command-line interfaces.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment, including RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multimeters.
  • Hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
