Position: Oracle FCCS Implementation Lead

Location: Keene, New Hampshire

Duration: 6-12+ Months Contract

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of Oracle Fusion FCCS for our Retail operations, including project planning, requirements gathering specific to Retail, solution design tailored for Retail complexities, configuration, testing, training, and deployment.
  • Collaborate extensively with finance and accounting teams within the Retail business units to deeply understand their diverse consolidation and reporting needs, including multi-currency consolidation, intercompany transactions across stores and online channels, inventory accounting, lease accounting, and specific Retail KPIs.
  • Design and configure the FCCS application with a focus on Retail-specific dimensions (e.g., Store, Channel, Product Category), hierarchies, data forms, rules, calculations (e.g., margin analysis, store profitability), security, and workflows that align with Retail business processes.
  • Develop and maintain data integration processes between various Retail source systems (e.g., POS systems, inventory management, e-commerce platforms, ERP) and FCCS using tools like Data Management/FDMEE, ensuring accurate and timely data flow.
  • Design and develop financial reports using Smart View and Financial Reporting Studio that cater to Retail-specific reporting requirements, such as sales by channel, store performance, inventory valuation, and key Retail metrics.
  • Configure and manage the Ownership Management module within FCCS to handle potential complexities in Retail ownership structures (e.g., franchises, joint ventures).
  • Implement and manage intercompany eliminations for the Retail environment, considering transactions between stores, online operations, and other business units.
  • Set up and manage the close process within FCCS, potentially leveraging Task Manager, with a focus on the accelerated close cycles often required in the Retail industry.
  • Develop and execute test plans and scripts, ensuring thorough testing of the FCCS configuration and integrations, with specific attention to Retail data scenarios.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation including design documents, configuration guides, test scripts, and training materials tailored to Retail finance users.
  • Provide targeted training and support to end-users within the Retail finance teams on the FCCS application and Retail-specific processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to FCCS functionality, Retail data nuances, and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle Fusion FCCS features and functionalities, as well as industry best practices in Retail financial consolidation, recommending and implementing relevant enhancements.
  • Lead and mentor any junior FCCS team members or provide guidance to other project resources involved in the Retail FCCS implementation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all FCCS-related matters during the implementation and post-go-live within the Retail context.
  • Participate in project status meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress and challenges specific to the Retail implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets, with a focus on delivering value to the Retail finance organization.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues specific to the Retail FCCS implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for FCCS implementation and maintenance within the Retail industry context.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 15 years of hands-on experience in implementing and supporting Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or Oracle Fusion FCCS.
  • Proven experience leading at least [Specify number] full lifecycle FCCS implementation projects.
  • Strong understanding of the Retail industry's unique financial consolidation and reporting challenges and requirements.
  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of Oracle Fusion FCCS, including configuration, rules, calculations, data integration, and reporting.
  • Experience with data integration tools such as Data Management (FDMEE) and EPM Automate, with experience integrating Retail-specific data sources.
  • Proficiency in designing and developing financial reports using Smart View and Financial Reporting Studio, with experience creating Retail-focused reports and KPIs.
  • Experience with security setup and user administration in FCCS.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to address complex Retail data and process issues.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both finance and technical stakeholders within a Retail environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Oracle FCCS certification.
  • Experience with other Oracle EPM Cloud modules (e.g., Planning, ARCS, EDMCS).
  • Familiarity with SQL and database concepts.
  • Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Jython).
  • Direct experience working within the finance function of a Retail company.
  • Knowledge of Retail-specific accounting practices and KPIs.
