Cyber Network Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in cybersecurity and network engineering to safeguard our nation? As a systems security and network security engineer, you can identify the tactics, techniques, and procedures needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to lead the development and implementation of security solutions that will protect our Navy.
On our team, you'll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of network and security devices. You'll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your knowledge and experience in cybersecurity risk management and analysis, you'll assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls.
In this role, you'll closely impact Navy missions by strengthening cybersecurity. With mentoring, challenging hands-on problem-solving, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. What You'll Work On:
- Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
- Implement infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
- Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
- Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:
- 5+ years of experience with complex cybersecurity projects and integrated systems
- 5+ years of experience with networking, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing protocols
- 2+ years of experience with Cloud-based te chn ologies, including Azure or AWS
- Experience with security tools and devices, including network firewalls, web proxies, int rus ion prevention systems and int rus ion detection systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools
- Experience with cyber hardening, vulnerability management, scanning, assessment, and asso cia ted tools
- Ability to analyze and communicate complex te chn ical challenges to both te chn ical and non-te chn ical clients and stakeholders
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- DoD 8140 Certification, including CompTIA Security+ Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with DoD or Navy cybersecurity networks, including RDT & E and operational networks
- Experience with RedSeal, network modeling, or model-based systems engineering tools
- Experience with command line interfaces and tools, including cURL
- Experience with Python or high-level scripting languages
- Knowledge of red teaming and penetration testing processes
- Knowledge of Application Program Interface methodologies
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- CCNP Certification
