Job description summary:

This role will be a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Senior Manager of McKesson Technology Portfolio Finance. Primary responsibilities will be project-level Opex and Capex budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, value capture, and other analysis across a portfolio of projects. Additional responsibilities include supporting the broader McKesson Technology Finance team and respective McKesson Technology business partners and stakeholders through various reporting, analysis, and governance activities. This role will also be responsible for working with the broader McKesson Technology Finance team to help simplify, standardize, and automate our processes.

  • Opex and Capex budgeting and forecasting: Partner with and provide insights to McKesson Technology's operational leaders and/or project managers in managing, forecasting and reporting opex and capex for their respective projects.
  • Month-end close: Support the month-end close process through various accruals, reclasses, and other journal entries, as well as monthly variance analysis.
  • Value capture: Periodically revisit expected benefits associated with various projects and update value capture reporting metrics.
  • Additional analysis as required including, but not limited to project-related business cases, risk and opportunities, and ad hoc insights and analytics across the project portfolios.


Experiences in tools

  • Power BI or Tableau skills & previous experience in working with those tools.
  • SAP / BPC / SAC
  • Advanced MS Excel; highly proficient at financial modeling and the manipulation of large sets of data in a replicable and sustainable manner


Other critical skills

  • Technology finance experience
  • Change management experience; ability and desire to drive change
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to navigate through complex issues, interpret and transform financial data into recommendations to senior leadership
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, able to deliver results and possess a strong drive to meet and exceed expectations
  • Strong time management skills able to successfully manage competing priorities


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance
  • 4+ years combined experience in FP&A, accounting, investment banking, or corporate development and strategy


Physical Requirements

  • Working from office 1-2 days a week
