Job Description
Summary: Seeking a Sr. Design Specialist proficient in CAD methodologies for developing mechanical and electro-mechanical designs in a defense environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Create innovative mechanical and electro-mechanical concepts for components, assemblies, tools, and products.
Apply CAD methodologies, theories, and techniques.
Develop concepts that meet functional and operational requirements for existing and new product lines.
Ensure CAD models transition smoothly to modeling and simulation software.
Prepare complex design layouts, schematics, or sketches to meet system integration requirements.
Prepare drawing packages to military or ASME standards.
Check completed layouts, drawings, test plans, procedures, and documentation for accuracy and conformance to standards.
Requirements:
Proficient in tolerance analysis and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Comprehensive knowledge of military drawings, specifications, MILSPEC/STD's.
Minimum 9 years of design/drafting experience using Pro-E/Creo CAD system.
Experience with MBD (Model Based Definition) is a plus.
Must have CREO 7 experience.
Associate Degree with emphasis in engineering drafting/design or equivalent training/experience.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with relevant applications in a defense environment.
Pay Details: $34.00 to $45.00 per hour
