Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced E1 Technical Solutions Architect to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of our E1 system. This role combines a deep understanding of JDE architecture with the technical expertise to perform hands-on coding, review code, and ensure that the systems is optimized and aligned with business needs.Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design & Hands-On Development: Lead the design and implementation of E1 solutions, providing hands-on coding for customizations, enhancements, and integrations. Ensure the architecture aligns with the company's business needs, technology standards, and long-term strategy.
- Code Reviews: Conduct regular code reviews for the development team to ensure best practices are followed, quality standards are met, and the code is efficient and maintainable.
- System Integration: Oversee integrations between E1 and other internal/external systems, ensuring smooth data flows, minimal downtime, and high performance.
- Customization & Configuration: Work with functional teams to customize and configure E1 modules, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure the E1 environment operates efficiently. Implement performance improvements as needed.
- Upgrade & Patches Management: Lead the technical planning and execution of E1 upgrades, patches, and system maintenance activities.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to junior developers, consultants, and business analysts on E1 best practices, tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, business stakeholders, and project managers, to ensure E1 solutions meet business requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation for all architectural designs, configurations, integrations, and customizations.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support for E1 issues, investigating and resolving technical challenges as they arise.
- Security: Implement and maintain appropriate security measures within E1 systems to safeguard company data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, with at least 3 years in an architecture or senior technical role.
- Strong knowledge of JD Edwards technical architecture, including tools like JD Edwards Orchestrator and AIS, SQL, RDA, FDA, etc.
- Expertise in JD Edwards upgrade and patching process.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in JD Edwards system architecture, deployment, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of relational databases (Oracle) and data integration techniques.
- Knowledge of middleware technologies (e.g., SOA, RESTful web services) and enterprise integration patterns.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with a focus on team collaboration and continuous improvement.
