#1816 Director of IT ERP Expert

The IT Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the IT function within the division. This is a hands-on position requiring a strategic leader with a strong technical background and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency. The IT Director will work closely with the CIO and other senior leaders to align IT initiatives with business objectives and ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning:
    • Collaborate with the CIO to develop and implement the IT strategy for the division, aligning with the overall business and technology strategy.
    • Develop and implement plans to support executive vision, including costs, deliverables, strategy, roadmap, and supporting infrastructure for global BU expansion and growth.
  • Leadership & Management:
    • Lead and manage the IT team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth for approximately 20 direct and indirect reports.
    • Consistently focus on team development, assessing strengths and opportunities to determine the ideal mix of internal and external resources.
  • Technology & Innovation:
    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure to support business operations.
    • Lead the technology team in assessing and addressing business needs to create efficiencies and ROI through innovative technology.
    • Ensure effective ERP implementation and optimization in a manufacturing environment, leveraging systems such as Infor Syteline, Epicor, JD Edwards, and other relevant platforms.
    • Identify opportunities for system enhancements or integrations to support operational goals, including Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., Boss WMS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (e.g., Aegis MES), and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
    • Innovate and maintain superior technology systems across the organization to enhance productivity, achieve business goals, and deliver world-class customer service.
    • Serve as the thought leader in supporting business goals with innovative technology, creating an unmatched experience for internal and external users.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with executive management and business leaders to execute objectives through IT strategies and hands-on leadership.
    • Partner with business leaders across the organization to regularly assess software and system needs, identify solutions, costs, and ROI opportunities.
    • Communicate plans, progress, and risks across the company consistently.
  • Vendor & Resource Management:
    • Manage relationships with software and hardware vendors to ensure thorough understanding of needs and optimize response times.
    • Oversee the purchase, inventory, licensing, and allocation of all company hardware, software, printers, copiers, scanners, telephones, etc.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services.
  • Operational Oversight:
    • Oversee teams responsible for technology systems, including software applications, hardware, VoIP, networks, servers, and security to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
    • Oversee internal helpdesk activities, including employee onboarding and offboarding, daily connectivity, email access, network access, shared file documents, and security/access technology.
    • Ensure the security and integrity of all IT systems and data, implementing best practices for cybersecurity.
    • Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and alignment with financial goals.
  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including data protection and privacy laws.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the business and recommending appropriate adoption.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policy and regulatory requirements established for the corporation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems, including implementation, optimization, and integration in manufacturing or similar environments. Experience with platforms such as Infor Syteline, Epicor, JD Edwards, Oracle NetSuite, SAP Business 1, and others is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with complementary systems like Warehouse Management Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Customer Relationship Management tools, and data analytics platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Preferred:
  • Master s degree preferred.
  • Experience in the automotive or fleet management industry is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) are desirable.
