Job Description:

  • Mandatory Certification AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • AWS Data Architect
  • To use expert specialist skills and knowledge to define and deliver data solutions and to contribute to the development and implementation of IT plans in line with the overall strategy of IT and the business to act as Data Architect on major data programs

Responsibilities

  • Lead the data design of solutions for large projects and programs through expert knowledge translate high level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata test data and data quality standards
  • Simplify the existing data architecture delivering reusable services and cost saving opportunities in line with the policies and standards of the group
  • Lead the design development implementation and maintenance of complex data systems and solutions
  • Develop conceptual logical and physical data models to support data analysis and business intelligence
  • Create and maintain current and target state data architectures
  • Define and manage standards guidelines and processes to ensure data quality
  • Ensure technology solutions are in alignment with data architecture principles and target state
  • Work with IT teams business analysts and data analytics teams to understand data consumers needs and develop solutions
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management storage and analytics
  • AWS Data ecosystem EC2 S3 Redshift RDS Glue Glue Catalog EMR Lambda CloudWatch DynamoDB DMS SCTEKS etc

Skills Experience

  • 6-8 years of work experience in IT transformations including platform modernization AWS cloud deployment
  • Entity Relationship modeling metadata systems data quality tools and techniques
  • BI and reporting
  • Experience in data warehousing data modeling and or data analysis
  • Good knowledge of data management data integration and database development techniques
  • Ability to relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs
  • Experience with database technologies eg SQL NoSQL Oracle Hadoop Teradata
  • Experience with ETL and other business intelligence tools
  • Ability to regularly learn and adopt new technology
  • Experience developing reference architecture principles and standards
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and work with diverse project teams

Education

  • Bachelors Or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
