Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Apps DBA to manage and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments and associated Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, cloning, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and support of Oracle Applications and databases. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, development, and functional teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite R12.x/R11i environments (including 12.2.x and 12.1.x).
Manage Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c) installations and patching across production and non-production environments.
Perform EBS cloning, backup/recovery (RMAN), and disaster recovery planning/testing.
Apply AD/TXK patches, CPU patches, and manage patching cycles using adop and adpatch utilities.
Monitor system performance and perform Oracle Apps and DB performance tuning (SQL, memory, I/O).
Administer Concurrent Manager, Workflow Services, and Autoconfig configurations.
Manage database security, user roles, encryption, and auditing in compliance with IT security policies.
Support application tier components (Forms/Reports/WebLogic/Apache) and troubleshoot EBS-related issues.
Work with developers, system admins, and functional consultants for issue resolution and release deployments.
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and support production releases as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
5 10 years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA in complex enterprise environments.
Strong experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.x administration.
Solid understanding of Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c architecture and tools.
Expertise in patching, cloning, AutoConfig, adop/adpatch, and shared/non-shared filesystem setups.
Experience with WebLogic Server, Forms & Reports, Apache, and Load Balancer configurations.
Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, OEM, and Data Guard is a plus.
Working knowledge of shell scripting (bash, ksh), Perl, or Python for automation.
Familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems (RedHat, Oracle Linux preferred).
Experience in supporting SOA, OBIEE, Hyperion, or Fusion Middleware is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) DBA or Apps DBA track.
Exposure to cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS for Oracle workloads.
Knowledge of ITIL processes (Change, Incident, Problem Management).
Prior experience in upgrading from R12.1.x to R12.2.x.
