Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and integration, proficiency in SolidWorks, and a demonstrated ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university and offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional requirements and manufacturability standards.
  • Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to validate designs.
  • Create detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve designs.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and process enhancements.
  • Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing principles.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field from an accredited university.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in mechanical design and integration using SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to perform engineering analysis (stress analysis, tolerance analysis, etc.).
  • Experience with design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA) principles.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and PLM systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives or Lean Manufacturing practices is a plus.
