Job Title: Database Administrator 3

Description of Services
We are seeking the services of two experienced Database Administrator 3 professionals to support data and database administration activities. The selected candidates will have extensive experience in database management, development, and optimization, and will ensure the proper planning, development, maintenance, and monitoring of integrated database systems.
The role involves creating and maintaining production databases, performance tuning, ensuring data integrity, and providing technical assistance for database-related needs. Candidates will also perform logical and physical data modeling, implement database recovery procedures, and contribute to database performance and efficiency improvements.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and improve database solutions for enterprise software using Agile methodologies.
- Support cross-functional teams in database-related tasks to enhance application performance and scalability.
- Build databases and applications using modern web platform technologies, including Java/J2EE, SOAP/REST web services, Spring, jQuery, AngularJS, IBM WebSphere, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Perform logical database administration, monitor performance, and provide support for development, testing, and issue resolution.
- Utilize Agile practices to participate in backlog grooming and user story development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production, development, and test environments, including 24/7 on-call support as needed.
- Develop and modify Linux shell scripts for automation and provide process documentation.
- Design and develop CI/CD workflows for database automation using tools such as Jenkins.
- Create and manage SQL and PL/SQL code, with hands-on experience in Oracle APEX toolsets.
- Develop data models using tools like Erwin and implement modeling techniques, including star schemas.
- Provide database triage support and collaborate with cross-functional teams for large-scale initiatives.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 8 years of experience implementing, administering, managing, and monitoring databases in production and non-production environments while ensuring data integrity and security.
- 8 years of advanced expertise in developing and optimizing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code.
- 8 years of experience with database automation in Enterprise CI/CD workflows and tools like Jenkins.
- 8 years of hands-on experience with APEX development.
- 8 years of proven ability to design and implement performance tuning improvements and use Explain Plan for query optimization.
- 8 years of experience supporting cross-functional teams in identifying data relationships and optimizing performance.
- 8 years of in-depth knowledge of Oracle internal views, built-in functions, and architecture, including tablespace consolidation and index analysis.
- 8 years of experience resolving complex issues in Oracle 11/19c databases on Solaris/Linux systems.
- 8 years of advanced knowledge of monitoring and fine-tuning SQL and PL/SQL in Oracle databases.
- 8 years of proficiency using Oracle SQL Developer.
- 8 years of experience using Erwin Modeling tools and star schema data modeling techniques.
- 8 years of experience developing SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux shell scripts to support database environments.
- 8 years of hands-on experience with Agile methodologies in large development projects.
