Job Details
The ideal candidate for this position will be a reliable and adept control systems engineer who is eager to break down technical problems and work hands on solve them systematically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Develop control system architectures and schematics using CAD based on project requirements using Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley products. This includes designing hardware interfaces, software components, and integrating various sensors, actuators, and servos
- Programming and Configuration: Write, test, and debug code for control systems using Allen-Bradley PLC programming language to configure control devices
- System Integration: Integrate control systems with existing infrastructure, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs
- Testing and Validation: Conduct through testing of control systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety. Develop test plans, perform simulations, and analyze data to validate system performance
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and troubleshoot control system issues, including hardware malfunctions, software bugs, and communication errors. Implement corrective actions to resolve problems and optimize system performance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain documentation related to control system design, implementation, and maintenance activities. Generate reports, technical documents, and user manuals as necessary
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and test technicians to achieve project goals and ensure seamless integration of control systems
- Controls Inventory: Manage controls inventory stock and planning
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or related field
- Proven experience in control system design, programming, and implementation.
- Must have experience with Rockwell Automation, specifically Allen-Bradley products and design software
- Knowledge of low/high voltage systems and 24 vdc control power
- Hands-on experience with PLCs and SCADA systems
- Previous experience programming Fanuc or other industrial robots is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex control system issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to control systems (e.g., ISA, IEC)
