Triumph is seeking a Security Analyst to join our client's team in Richmond, VA. As a Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's digital assets and infrastructure from cyber threats. You and your security colleagues will conduct thorough security assessments, monitor for suspicious activities, regularly review and improve security processes, respond to 3rd party questionnaires, and implement effective security measures to protect our systems and data. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of security protocols, and the ability to respond swiftly to emerging threats.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions or abnormalities.
  • Conduct thorough security assessments of systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Investigate security breaches and incidents and recommend appropriate actions to resolve and prevent recurrences.
  • Develop and implement security standards, policies, and procedures to ensure operational security.
  • Produce security reports and update management regularly on statuses.
  • Monitor security logs and alerts to identify potential security threats.
  • Stay updated with the latest security developments and trends and recommend security enhancements.
  • Conduct security awareness training for staff to ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Participate in incident response planning and execution as required.
  • Document security procedures and protocols for reference purposes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience working as a Security Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, security standards, and methodologies.
  • Experience with security systems, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or similar (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning and development in the field of cybersecurity.
