Description

SAIC has an exciting future opportunity for an Information Assurance Lead/Manager in Bremerton, WA. This Naval program will provide IT operations, application management, maintenance, and customer support to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) & Naval Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF) including remote sites and detachments in order to meet mission requirements.

This work is contingent upon award news in the Fall of 2025 timeframe.

Work is performed on site in Bremerton, WA and may require travel to other customer locations.

Job Summary: The Information Assurance Lead will support the Cybersecurity Policy, Audit, and Defense by collaborating closely with the PSNS and IMF Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and staff. Responsibilities include recommending and developing formal policies and procedures to protect sensitive unclassified and classified information and secure PSNS and IMF information systems and networks. The IAL will review relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines from PSNS and IMF, NAVSEA, DoD, and DON, providing recommendations for policy creation and updates. This role encompasses all activities related to Cybersecurity Administration, Assessment and Authorization (A&A), and Cyber Network Defense to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of multiple networks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide A&A documentation for submission to the Navy Authorizing Official (NAO) using RMF principles.
  • Support strategic analysis, planning, and communication for Cybersecurity Policy, Audit, and Defense products and services.
  • Support weekly Cyber Metrics reports, such as Always Be Compliant (ABC), Cyber Security Compliance Assessment (CSCA), and Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR) Spot check reports to ensure Cyber Readiness.
  • Provide capacity for unplanned cyber metrics data calls and Ad-hoc reporting for external agencies and continual process improvement (CPI).
  • Manage cyber inspections, including inspection logistics, status meetings, reporting, executive briefings, documenting findings, and producing lessons learned presentations.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity instructions, SOPs, and desk guides for mandatory technical and IT security standards.
  • Provide training for various audiences, leading to a Cyber Safety culture and compliance with inspection requirements.
  • Maintain cybersecurity documentation according to Navy Records Management requirements and manage a centralized documents library and SharePoint presence.
  • Track, report, and document Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) program employees.
  • Validate various computer accounts, including NNPPNET, NMCI/NNPI, CMDNET, privileged access, SIPRNET, and functional accounts.
  • Support reporting and tracking of electronic spillages.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and a minimum of eight (8) years experience in system administration.
    • or Twelve (12) years of experience in system administration and HS Diploma can be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale Cybersecurity projects.
  • Experience with monitoring information system security compliance using eMASS, VRAM, and ACAS.
  • Experience executing the Navy Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process and Risk Management Framework, and processing Authority to Operate packages.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Required Clearance:
  • Must hold a minimum of a Top Secret clearance and SCI eligible.

Required certifications:
  • DoD Manual 8570, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program for Information Assurance Management (IAM) experience and certification compliance.
  • DoD Manual 8140 for Program Manager role compliance; education, experience and/or certification.

Desired/Nice to Have:
  • CISSP, Security+ certification.

Working Conditions:
  • Primarily on-site at Bremerton, WA with remote support responsibilities at other Navy sites in the US and Japan.
  • Potential on-call responsibilities to address critical network and system issues.


Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
