We are a leading energy and infrastructure engineering firm based in Southern California, with a focus on gas utility, refining, and midstream projects throughout the Western U.S. We are currently looking for a dynamic and driven individual to lead systems engineering efforts for a range of energy infrastructure projects across the Western and Southwestern United States. Our firm specializes in comprehensive system planning for energy storage and transportation facilities, offering detailed design services to enhance and expand existing systems as well as develop new facilities.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with gas clients to define project needs, develop scoping documents, and support project execution.
Lead the design and engineering of compression systems, ensuring performance requirements and regulatory compliance.
Prepare and review engineering deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams, heat/material balances, P&I Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, control and shutdown philosophies, HAZOP Studies, and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
Develop and review specifications and data sheets for compressors, control systems, and related equipment.
Conduct feasibility studies, performance evaluations, and provide technical support for new and retrofit compression projects.
Oversee startup, performance testing, and troubleshooting of compressors, engines, and gas turbines.
Troubleshoot issues, implement corrective actions, and conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures.
Review client documents and specifications, and verify FEED design and calculations.
Prepare RFQs, evaluate vendor quotations, and analyze technical bids.
Coordinate with equipment vendors and analysis companies to ensure design integrity and proper component selection.
Manage project planning, cost control, scheduling, and develop TIC estimates and economic analyses.
Skills & Requirements:
Strong desire and capability to learn new skills and take on responsibilities.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and NFPA.
Knowledge of emissions control systems, engine and turbine auxiliary systems, compressor systems, control methods, and machinery monitoring.
Willingness to travel for site inspections and data gathering.
Experience & Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in compressor selection, design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Experience with various compressors, drivers, and emissions control systems.
Preferred: California Mechanical Professional Engineer license, energy infrastructure experience, consulting or equipment packaging experience, and familiarity with Ariel, DR Size, Leroi, Coolware, and eRCM software.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
