Reporting into the Director of Data Products, the Senior Product Manager, Data Platform is responsible for identifying and leading delivery of the right data capabilities and features on the client's data platform. The role is expected to deeply understand and empathize with the needs of product, engineering, and operations teams (both internal and external) related to data access and analytics.
The Data Platform Product Manager will have a multiplicative impact across the client by empowering others to build impactful data products that maximize the value of the client's data, as well as arming our customers with better access to the data they need to operate their businesses successfully. You will identify data needs across both internal and external stakeholders in collaboration with product leadership and the data platform engineering team and create and manage a product roadmap that will deliver data tools, models, APIs, and frameworks to meet those diverse data needs. You will be responsible for shepherding initiatives through the full product development lifecycle from ideation to delivery. The product manager will work cross functionally across many organizations at the client and lead through influence to help direct those involved in the design, development and delivery of the data product tools.

Role Summary
As a Product Manager, you lead a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life, identifying market opportunities, defining an overall product or feature vision, ensuring factors driving revenue and profitability are in place, while working through managed employees and matrixed resources. Focus is at a product line level working on a suite of solutions (all features/functions).
Partnering with design and technology, you are accountable for product design, feature definition, prioritization, road mapping and planning, your ultimate objective is to positively differentiate your assigned products from the competition and delight customers.
Part of the Product Management team, you are the person ultimately responsible for the overall product success, including working with stakeholders, including other product leaders, partners, and broad network of customers to design a solution that meets market needs.
Empowered to make decisions about product roadmaps, ensuring delivery of roadmaps, go-to-market plans, planning activities, and removing roadblocks for the delivery teams.
This leadership position requires that you lead by example and with influence, and collaborate cross-functionally to empower others to execute on your product vision and roadmap
Capabilities and solutions developed in this area may range from internal data system building blocks that empower development teams to maximize the value of data, APIs for self-service data extraction and reporting for both internal product development teams and external customer data teams, as well as advanced analytics tools that allow for the dynamic deployment of business intelligence to embed impactful insights for customers across the client's existing product suite
This position requires an understanding of the Product Management life cycle and the artifacts and ensuring teams are collaborative and documenting for success. You must possess the ability to understand market opportunity and viability of product design and articulate ROI as an internal and external product champion and its strongest evangelist.
To be qualified for this position you (have):
Proven experience designing and launching technical data products that empower technical user personas: APIs, data models, developer documentation, data infrastructure, data analytics and business intelligence tools, etc.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Product Management with Analytics/data driven products preferably within healthcare technology and a focus on AI. Healthcare background is required to be considered for this role.
Must have 3+ years of experience working on data analytics platforms.
Experience in the healthcare technology field, specifically within a data-driven role
Experience creating and executing roadmaps as well as leading a team to meet deliverables.
Experience managing customer expectations.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions.
Worked in and are comfortable operating in a matrix organization, coordinating across multiple disciplines.
Possess technical acumen and the ability to gather and describe product requirements and get feedback from technical staff.
Technical skills and experience in data analysis, SQL, python or statistical languages.
Knowledge of modern technology architectures, data analytics infrastructure, database technology, virtualization, and the impact of government initiatives and HIPAA privacy and security regulations on system design.
Experience working in an Agile environment using tools such as Jira.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

You will be:
Enabling the portfolio strategy by delivering a commercially viable product, solution or component and ensuring all factors of a go to market strategy are enacted.
Leading definition and prioritization of problems, requirements, solutions, and features, which includes working with internal stakeholders, health plans and providers to understand their workflows and define the problem to be solved, which may be internally focused.
Collaborating with the Product Organization and Account teams to understand the market opportunity and viability of product design.
Engaging with UX/Design and focus groups (users, prospects, clients) to perform concept testing and solution refinement.
Defining product vision, roadmaps and supporting business case for new data science driven solutions.
Developing or directing development of operational and financial reporting metrics to ensure product success.
Gathering, analyzing, and responding to user feedback.
Working cross-functionally in a matrix driven environment.
Collaborating with technical teams including Data Engineers, Architects and Developers on solution design and roadmap execution.
Leading team of product owners and product analysts to execute against product vision.
Ensuring products are well documented and conform to specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Collaborating with marketing to develop material to convey product capabilities and value.
Assisting in creation of pricing and packaging.
Collaborating with Account Management and other stakeholders to plan internal communications, metrics, process design and ensure operational readiness.
Evangelizing product, company point of view and differentiation to internal and external stakeholders.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
