Metal Technical Group - Roll Forming Design

Pay Rate: $36.85- $43.20 Hourly

Role & Responsibilities:
Work with Tool and Die Makers, and Production Teams to improve reliability and quality of the existing roll form tooling.
Assist with the rollout of new products from a technical resource for Roll Form Manufacturing.
Assist with Development of Roll Forming tooling and associated accessories.
Assist with capital development on roll forming operations.
Prioritize process improvement based on impact to the organization.
Work with plant management on existing tooling and line capabilites to launch new products.
Researches and identifies fiscally sound potential projects and then uses established leadership skills to build, develop and lead teams to execute a solution for the project.
Long term growth opportunities to join Technical team in a number of different roles.
Assist the production and maintenance teams in roll forming equipment setup and maintenance.
Work with production team on development of training program to ensure operator skills are developed and maintained.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incorporates safety into all aspects of the department to ensure safe working conditions during all activities associated within the manufacturing environment.
Responsible for the design and improvement on new and existing tooling.
Manage the coordination, implementation and standardization of manufacturing process improvements.
Responsible for supporting new technology, implementing trial plans and being the primary contact with Corporate Technical Services for roll form design.
Responsible for leading cross functional teams assembled to address process variability.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education
Work experience as a tool and die designer with hands on experience
Alternatively Technical degree in Engineering with Tool and Die Experience

Years of Experience
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Strong IT competency in Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
