Real Estate Service Management Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients, who is located in Seattle.

This specific engagement is a one-year real estate service management business process and software solution improvement project. This role will require utility real estate management experience, technology experience in addition to the basic software project management skills. The primary focus of this role is to implement a SaaS solution to automate the customer real estate service management process.

Responsibilities:
Work with product owner to manage gap analysis workshops to understand the current business processes, primary business challenges, improvement opportunities
Work with vendor for solution(s) to resolve the identified gaps in the enhanced product as well as cloud migration
Lead the project team to implement budget management improvement solution
Create a shared vision and strategy for the delivery of a complex project spanning multiple stakeholders and business partners
Work with resources on the program front-end to establish the goals and objectives to meet the needs of the business
Establish key metrics that will help monitor and govern the outcomes required for business and technology
Work with selected vendors, business resources, and technology resources to ensure an integrated program plan is created and followed
Work with the project team and align stakeholders to enable a high-performing operating culture to deliver successful outcomes for the business and the related enabling technology
Oversee business and project workstreams to include business process management across numerous value streams, organizational change management, business analysis and related functional specifications to drive integration with the technology, development/configuration as needed, and infrastructure implementation
Deliver the full scope of the project that meet predefined business needs and requirements
Apply program/project management skills including direction, monitoring, and general oversight for teams, vendors, contractors, consultants, and staff
Develop and oversee development of detailed project plans containing a well-defined work breakdown structure, activities and tasks, dependencies, a resource-loaded schedule, resource plan, risk management plan, quality plan, acceptance plan, financial plan, communications plan and procurement plan
As projects require, oversee all aspects of logistics plans, test plans, training plans, or other specialized plans
Supervise execution activities such as monitoring and controlling overall plan and deliverables, report to stakeholders and management on status of schedule, cost, quality, change, risks, issues, readiness, and acceptance
Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; prepare the program s annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions. Establish capabilities to track earned value.
Ensure business analysis activities are completed that:
Demonstrate requirements are developed, maintained, and traced
Ensure the voice of the business is heard
Define and adopt processes required during the deployments, whether it has a process improvement focus or integrates with a technology solution
Develop or document operational business processes, operational support plans, and operational governance frameworks affected by the outcome of the projects within the program before the closeout of each functional or technology implementation close out
Hold accountability for Organizational standards compliance:
Ensure compliance with PMO methodologies and guidelines
Link organizational governance with project governance (e.g. Security, Risk and Compliance, Privacy, etc.)
Manage the Race Equity Toolkit Process and Outcomes (as required)
Ensure communications, shared reviews, and approvals are completed throughout the project lifecycle and with the Service Acceptance Criteria (SAC) development with the ongoing operations and maintenance units in the Engineering and Applications divisions
Follow customers requirements for production launch of technology components of the program, where applicable
Facilitate the Solution Architecture Design and Enterprise Architecture Sign off
Conduct project closeout activities including lessons learned, requirement/scope validations, schedule and budget performance, the handover to O&M (operations and maintenance), and closeout of all contracts and financial reporting with each project or program area, whether business related, or technology related
Conduct post implementation assessment of expected outcomes and related metrics
Follow customers Project Stage Gates and Governance requirements throughout the lifecycle of this project

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience providing expert level technology program/project management on highly complex projects (complexity is reflected in the size of the project, cost of the project, size of project team, depth and breadth of project manager role and responsibility, span of project impact, i.e. enterprise-wide, multi-departmental, or having a major market or external impact)
Utility real estate management experience required
Experience in these areas:
Managing a team of professionals to include IT Professionals, and Business Analysts
Developing and deploying project best practices from planning through project closeout
Managing projects using various Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC)
Utilizing formal change control and change management programs/models
Excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively with executives, business teams, technical teams, and external agencies
Skilled in influencing stakeholders and driving decisions to closure; adept at moving executive and senior management to action
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Process oriented with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated experience in Organizational Change Management, Organization Development, or Process Improvement
Desired Qualifications:

BA/Master s in Management of Information Systems, Systems Development, or Project Management (or related field)
PMP or equivalent
