We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Permanent Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving automation control systems integral to our production processes. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for career growth in the fast-paced engineering industry.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and supervise all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.
2. Implement and maintain ladder logic control systems and methodologies.
3. Be responsible for the start-up and commissioning of control systems, ensuring proper and safe operation.
4. Use RSLogix and ControlLogix software for PLC programming and troubleshooting.
5. Develop HMI screens for systems using PanelView software and other HMI programming tools.
6. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve existing processes and introduce new technologies.
7. Provide technical support to the maintenance and production departments to resolve issues related to controls systems.
8. Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, data manipulation, and reporting.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a controls engineering role.
3. Proficiency in ladder logic programming and electrical engineering principles.
4. Experience with RSLogix, ControlLogix, and PanelView software.
5. Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting control systems.
6. Strong understanding of HMI programming and design.
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work well in a team and independently.
10. A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all applicable regulations.
