Job Details

BluOmega is looking for a Cloud Architect/ Senior Systems Engineer to join our team of IT experts at the Federal client. As a member of our advanced engineering team, you will provide thought leadership and expert knowledge to teams of experienced engineers across the enterprise. You will engage and lead best-in-class technical solutions for complex enterprise infrastructure efforts across multiple cross-functional areas. You will work closely with various teams, including AI Services, Cloud Services, Cybersecurity, IT Operations, Program Management, Network Engineering and Administration, Disaster Recovery, Data Center Operations, Cloud Engineering, Data Architecture, and Data Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Technical Solutions Development and Troubleshooting: You will lead technical efforts for complex enterprise infrastructure challenges across multiple cross-functional areas.
  • Deep Expertise: Leverage deep expertise to troubleshoot and resolve highly technical problems in AI Services, Cloud Services, Cybersecurity, IT Operations, Program Management, Network Engineering and Administration, Disaster Recovery, Data Center Operations, Cloud Engineering, Data Architecture, and Data Engineering domains.
  • Agility and Flexibility: Demonstrate agility and flexibility to pivot from a given plan and refocus resources as needed to address changing priorities and emerging issues.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams across the agency to identify and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Staying Current: Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and innovations in AI Services, Cloud Services, Cybersecurity, IT Operations, Program Management, Network Engineering and Administration, Disaster Recovery, Data Center Operations, Cloud Engineering, Data Architecture, and Data Engineering domains.
  • Communication and Documentation: Effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders while maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of systems, processes, and solutions.
  • You will frequently be called upon to solve complex engineering issues in production and development projects, in some urgent circumstances.
  • You will work to lead, develop, and support senior and junior engineers, share knowledge, crosstrain, and establish KPIs for technical teams.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Master s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in designing, architecting, implementing, and maintaining complex enterprise IT systems across multiple cross-functional areas.
  • Proven expertise in AI Services, Cloud Services, Cybersecurity, IT Operations, Program Management, Network Engineering and Administration, Disaster Recovery, Data Center Operations, Cloud Engineering, Data Architecture, and Data Engineering domains.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery principles.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional and/or Microsoft Azure Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Other relevant certifications in Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Data Architecture, and Data Engineering.
  • Expert experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker) preferred.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes) preferred.
  • Knowledge of data engineering concepts and data warehousing principles preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and execute on a day to day basis, while employing a hands on approach.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
