Description
Our IT Security organization is looking for someone to lead their security awareness program. This role will be under the GRC Manager that reports to Exec Director of Security and GRC.
Our InfoSec team is committed to protecting our systems that provide vital services to our employees and patients from cyber threats, helping them to become safer in their digital lives. A Security Awareness Specialist develops learning and awareness programs to cultivate a culture of cybersecurity within an organization. They educate company personnel and contractors on security threats and how to defend against them. One of the security awareness specialist's primary responsibilities is to communicate about complex technical issues in layman's terms. They must ensure that everyone in the company is aware of cyber threats, even employees whose roles do not deal with information technology.

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing the following duties, but not limited to:
- Primary admin of the security awareness platform KnowBe4.
- KnowBe4 manages the following items:
- Security awareness and compliance training and testing
- Simulated phishing
- Real-time coaching Security orchestration
Additional duties include:
- Create the Cyber Security Program and monthly/quarterly calendar on focus areas for Cyber Awareness
- -Work under guidance of the Exec Director of Security and GRC.
- Develop and implement training programs and materials to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and awareness.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify areas of improvement in the company's cybersecurity training and awareness efforts.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in cybersecurity to ensure the training and awareness programs are relevant and effective.
- Collaborate with various departments and teams to identify and address any potential security vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and track employee participation in training programs and provide reports and recommendations to management.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity and provide guidance and support to other departments and employees.
- Create and maintain documentation and resources related to cybersecurity training and awareness.
- Coordinate and conduct simulated cyber attack exercises to test the company's security protocols and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed of any regulatory requirements and ensure the company's cybersecurity training and awareness efforts are compliant.
- Continuously review and update training materials and programs to adapt to new and emerging cyber threats.
