Role Overview
We are seeking a Delphi Developer to maintain and enhance a mature Inventory Management System for one of our long-standing clients. This role is ideal for someone experienced in working with legacy systems who takes pride in supporting mission-critical applications. You'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly while identifying and implementing meaningful improvements to the system.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, support, and enhance an established Delphi-based inventory management application
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure system stability and performance
- Implement new features and functionality based on business needs
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Document changes and maintain clean, maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing with internal team members
- Support potential modernization efforts and system integrations
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience with Delphi (preferably Delphi 7 or newer)
- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and software development best practices
- Comfortable working within and improving legacy systems
- Solid experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or InterBase
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver reliable solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with inventory, supply chain, or ERP systems
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git or SVN
- Exposure to modern development environments or transitioning legacy systems
- Understanding of Windows desktop application development
